UNDP is the United Nations global development network that promotes change and connects countries with knowledge, the experience and resources necessary to help peoples forge a better life. Since 1996, the office of the United Nations Development Program ( UNDP ) in Chile has produced 11 Human Development Reports and multiple other knowledge products, that have allowed the country to understand various dimensions of social life on the road to development. The current context, marked by the social mobilizations started in October 2019, the constitutional replacement itinerary that was triggered by them, and the social and economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic marks the beginning of what will most likely be a turning period in Chile’s social and political history. Therefore, it has been decided that the next main UNDP product in the area of knowledge production,be a Human Development Report ( IACHR ) that analyzes the current capacity of Chilean society to propose, agree and conduct social changes that promote sustainable human development.
