Vacancy Announcement

“ Child Protection Officer – Grade NO1 ” – Rabat, Morocco

UNICEF works in some of the most difficult places in the world to reach the most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them realize their potential.

In 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for all.

And we never give up.

For each child, protection

UNICEF’s fundamental mission is to promote the rights of every child, everywhere, in everything the organization does – in programs, in advocacy and in operations. The equity strategy, which emphasizes the most disadvantaged and excluded children and families, reflects this commitment to the rights of the child in action.

For UNICEF, equity means that all children have the opportunity to survive, develop and reach their full potential, without discrimination, bias or favoritism. To the extent that every child has an unequal chance in life – in its social, political, economic, civic and cultural dimensions – their rights are violated. It is increasingly evident that investing in health, educating and protecting the most disadvantaged citizens of a society – tackling inequality – will not only give all children the opportunity to realize their potential, but will also lead to country growth and stability. That is why the emphasis on equity is so vital. It accelerates progress towards the realization of the rights of all children, which is the universal mandate of UNICEF, as emphasized in the Convention on the Rights of the Child, while supporting the equitable development of nations.
