As part of the activities of the Crisis Response Unit of WFP CO Peru, will continue to support the implementation of emergency response actions to the population of affected migrants and nationals of Peru, especially in the execution of cash transfers or food bonds,based on identified needs and in response to the request of the national government. JOB PURPOSE

The WFP Office in Peru wishes to have on its staff a ( a ) Assistant ( a ) of Programs in Cash Based Transfer, to develop and implement the activities of the emergency response team established for that purpose.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES ( not all-inclusive )

  •  Provide project management support and / or general office support taking into account established goals and applying WFP policies and procedures;
  •  Within its specific area of responsibility, collect data and support analysis and reporting ( p. eg, on food assistance needs, the use of resources, the progress of programs or achievements ) in order to sustain operational decision-making;
  •  Carry out detailed and timely data recording work within the technical sphere of activity in question ( p. ex., food security and vulnerability analysis ), applying institutional norms and guidelines;
  •  Work and exchange information with their internal counterparts to support effective collaboration, implementation and monitoring of ongoing project activities;
  •  Support communication activities with partners, agencies, NGOs and public institutions at the local level;
  •  Serve as a contact point for the resolution of general consultations on operations and, if necessary, request help from other areas;

OTHER ACCOUNTABILITIES

  •  Follow standard emergency preparedness practices to ensure that the WFP is in a position to respond quickly and send the necessary resources to affected areas at the start of a crisis;
  •  Participate in meetings, activities, or other actions, according to requirements or as necessary;
  •  Prepare and prepare reports of activities or actions carried out, to keep interested parties informed;
  •  Maintain effective communication and teamwork in the Crisis Response Unit of the WFP office;
  •  Incorporate the organization’s guidelines regarding gender equality in all its activities;
  •  Carry out accompaniment and / or supervision trips in the intervention areas;

  •  Must possess strong analytical skills;

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  •  Desirable to have a university degree in professional careers in economic science, engineering, administration, or related;
  •  Basic and / or intermediate command of the English language;
  •  Knowledge and handling of computer packages and data processing such as Office, Email, Database Management, etc.

DESIRED EXPERIENCES FOR ENTRY INTO THE ROLE

  •  Having four or more years of general work experience, it is desirable to have experience of three or more years in CBT experience;
  •  Desirable to have previous experience in field work in response to emergency or disaster situations;
  •  Have previous experience in maintaining inter-agency coordination;
  •  Desirable to have experience in livelihood recovery and financial inclusion work;

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Service Contract ( SC ) of the World Food Program ( WFP ) for 6 months, with the possibility of renewal. The salary level on the United Nations National Scale for a Service Contract will be SB3 = SC5. People hired under SC are considered as independent contractors and must provide fee receipts for the payment of their services. The fees received by the holders of these contracts are not exempt from personal income tax and, therefore, It is the responsibility of the contracted party to settle before the national authorities the taxes levied on his professional hnoraries, as well as the corresponding payment to the pension fund of his choice. WFP is an international body, it does not act as a retaining agent.
