About this position

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) consists of 26 country offices throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. The ITE department has the need of a consultancy to provide and maintain a reliable and efficient IT environment at the Country Office (Representation) in The Bahamas.

The Information Technology Department (ITE) is committed to enable the mission of the Bank of improving lives by delivering value to the business through technologic solutions in the Headquarters and the Representations, including infrastructure and services.

What you’ll do :

  •  Provide end-user support to the IDB Group personnel located at the Representation in The Bahamas, to maximize the exploitation of the IT tools (hardware, software, connectivity, training, etc.).
  •  Liaison with local IT service providers to ensure the compliance of the service in the office and work hand in hand with dedicated ITE areas on resolving issues or implementing improvements.
  •  Support the IT side of facilities changes in the offices, including security, BMS and sustainability areas.
  •  Contribute on the day-to-day execution of the quality management system aiming the continuous improvement of the operation and its related processes.
  •  Ensure the operational documentation is up to date and properly registered in tickets, reports, dashboards, etc. as corresponds.

What you’ll need

  •  Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology Management or equivalent.

o Proven working knowledge in MS Windows 10, MS O365, MS Teams Rooms technology, Apple iOS mobile device management, MS Active Directory, Virtual and Physical Desktop Infrastructure maintenance. Working knowledge of ITIL processes for incident, service request and knowledge management. Certification is a plus.

o Formal training and experience in either Project Management or Scrum.

o Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and continuous improvement frameworks is a plus.

  •  Experience: At least two years of experience on the IT field. Demonstrated three years of experience in a customer support role. Two years of experience working on a continuous improvement, quality monitoring customer support operation. Experience working on a geographically dispersed team would be a plus.
  •  Languages: Fluency in English. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.

Requirements:

  •  Citizenship: You are either a citizen of Bahamas or a citizen of one of our 48-member countries with residency or legal permit to work in Bahamas.
  •  Consanguinity : You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

  •  Type of contract: National Consultant Full-Time.
  •  Length of contract: 12 months.
  •  Work Location: On site.
