Mission and objectives
UNDP is present in 177 countries and territories, working with governments and individuals to eradicate poverty and reduce inequalities. Countries are encouraged to develop public policies, leadership skills, institutional capacities, and resilience in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. The objective of UNDP Bolivia is to close development gaps and help no one to be left behind in the country. The cooperation framework proposed by UNDP to Bolivia is aligned with the 13 Pillars of the Patriotic Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals 2030 that focus on supporting the implementation of the Economic and Social Development Plan for Integral Development to Live Well. Thanks to the support, knowledge of local reality and respect for development visions,UNDP builds its global knowledge network and gives visibility to these alternative development views, accompanying the country in its efforts for sustainable, inclusive development, equitable and fight against poverty.
Context
UNDP Bolivia, through its Acceleration Laboratory, in alliance with UN Women, IME, CECI and IES Foundation, is carrying out the Co-laboratory initiative for gender solutions, which includes mapping gaps, mapping solutions and innovation spaces that promote ecosystem transformation to accelerate the closing of gender gaps. The allocation will be carried out within the framework of the first objective: mapping of gender gaps in Bolivia
Task description
The online volunteer will search for information on the internet and in the studies that will be provided to identify information on gender gaps in Bolivia, considering the dimensions: economic empowerment, financial inclusion, access to non-financial services, access to technology, gaps in home care, gender violence, informal employment, among others. Activities will include: 1. Internet search for quantitative / qualitative data on gender gaps in Bolivia. In case the data does not exist in Bolivia, look for the data in Latin America. 2. Identification of data on gender gaps in studies carried out in Bolivia that will be provided by UNDP. 3. Filled with an excellent matrix with the following information on the gender gap; data ( quantitative / qualitative ),description of the data, source and link to the information.
