(BREAKINGWIDE) – Trump first meeting with Pence since the Capitol attack. President Trump might not have agreed with some of Pence recent actions but it doesn’t mean there’s a rift between them like the media would have you believe.
Earlier, the President condemned the heinous attack on the Capitol, he said “I am outraged by the violence, lawlessness and mayhem. I immediately deployed the National Guard and federal law enforcement to secure the building and expel the Intruders,” Trump said.
“America is and must always be a nation of law and order, the demonstrators who infiltrated the capitol have defiled the seat of American democracy, to those who engage in the acts of violence and destruction, you do not represent our country and to those who broke the law you will pay,” Trump added.
Many speculated that the President will never speak with Pence again after the vice president decided not to halt Biden’s certification despite Trump urging him to do so.
Moments ago, president Trump the vice president Mike Pence met this evening in the Oval Office for the first time since the Capitol attack, the two had a good conversation discussing the week ahead and reflecting on the last four years of the administration to work and accomplishments according to John Roberts from administrative official.
They reiterated that those who broke the law and stormed the capitol last week do not represent the America first movement backed by 75 million Americans and pledge to continue the work on behalf of the country for the remainder of their term.
