Trump Acquittal Is “Fake News” According To Impeachment Manager,

Pitching an alternate reality, the seven House impeachment managers appeared on CNN with Anderson Cooper where they claimed that President Trump hasn’t really been acquitted because it wasn’t a “fair trial.”

“Well, and back to the acquittal part of this, I would consider that fake news, because we did not have a fair trial,” Florida Rep. Val Demings complained.

DailyCaller reports the seven House managers claimed during a sit-down interview Friday with CNN’s Anderson Cooper that President Donald Trump has not been acquitted following the Senate impeachment trial because it was not “a fair trial.”

Trump was acquitted on both articles of impeachment Wednesday after over four months of debate. The House managers sat down in an exclusive interview with “Anderson Cooper 360” Friday to discuss the trial and what comes next, and all appeared to be in agreement that despite the Senate’s vote, the president was still not exonerated.

“I think he’s not been exonerated,” California Rep. Zoe Lofgren began. Colorado Rep. Jason Crow quickly chimed in, adding that “it’s hard to have an acquittal without a fair trial.”

“And this was the first impeachment trial in American history where we didn’t have witnesses and documents,” Crow said. “And I think the American people realize that, because, as we sit here right now, there are thousands of Americans walking into courthouses across the country, and they’re taking their oath, and they’re going to be sitting as jurors in trials.”

“ they’re going to hear from witnesses and documents. And they’re asking themselves why Washington and Donald Trump should be any different. Also And, of course, the answer is, it shouldn’t. And they understand that.”

New York Rep. Jerry Nadler also lamented about the Senate’s vote, backing up the other House managers who told Cooper that Trump was not yet innocent. The House managers appeared to agree that the Senate’s decision to refuse additional witnesses meant the trial was unfair.

The Senate narrowly voted against allowing additional witnesses Jan. 31, with two Republicans voting with the Democrats to allow it. The House manager’s interview with Anderson echoed their co-authored op-ed in the Washington Post Feb. 5. They attacked the Senate for its decision to not allow further witnesses.

In an Op-Ed for Florida Today, State Sen. Joe Gruters, chairman of the Florida Republican Party argues that Florida won’t forget the role of impeachment manager and Florida lawmaker Val Dennings.

Also Gruters writes:

President Trump’s agenda has delivered win after win for the American people. Since his historic 2016 election, we’ve seen record-low unemployment — including for African Americans, women, and Hispanics — over 6 million new jobs, and a foreign policy that puts America first.

Democrats understand that they have no chance of beating such a winning record at the ballot box. Desperate for political power and hell-bent on overturning the will of the 63 million Americans who voted for President Trump, they’ve turned to an un-Democratic and un-serious impeachment hoax. They know that they can’t take President Trump on, and have decided instead to try and take him down.

Florida’s own Rep. Val Demings of Orlando has taken center stage in this far-left sham as one of Nancy Pelosi’s handpicked impeachment managers. Demings wasted no time in revealing the depths of her hyper-partisanship, immediately calling for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s recusal from the impeachment process. This extreme view is  a damning indictment of  Demings’ ability to fairly adjudicate any impeachment-related matter.

Furthermore

It is disappointing — but perhaps unsurprising — to see Demings dive headfirst into the far-left’s circus. After all, she came out for impeachment a year before Democratic leadership did. Demings is clearly comfortable ignoring issues that actually matter to Floridians in favor of joining the left’s doomed attempt to subvert the Democratic process.

Maybe if Demings spent as much time listening to her constituents as she does chasing an impeachment pipe dream, she’d understand that impeaching President Trump is not in the interest of Floridians. Here in the Sunshine State, the Trump administration’s policies have delivered a record-low unemployment rate of 3%, with Latino unemployment also clocking in at a record-low of 4.2%.

Gov. Ron DeSantis has worked closely with President Trump to take full advantage of the Trump economy and push common sense, pro growth policies. It’s no coincidence that he’s among the most popular governors in the country.

Floridians are responding to conservative leadership with resounding approval. In light of this fact, how can Demings seriously consider impeaching our conservative president to be in the interest of her constituents?

Of course, it’s a rhetorical question. Demings, along with her comrades on the far left, is fundamentally out of touch with American voters. Public support for impeachment is dipping, prompting to frantically sound the alarm in hopes Democrats will draw themselves back from the ledge.

Unfortunately for the left, they can’t undo the damage they’ve done. Voters will remember this bad faith attempt at subverting the democratic process long after Adam Schiff spouts his last conspiracy theory.
