Mission and objectives
The United Nations Development Program is part of the programs and funds of the United Nations. Its role is to help developing countries by providing advice but also by advocating their causes for the granting of donations.
Context
As part of its ‘Document Program Pays’ ( CPD ), the UNDP undertakes to support the Government of the RD Congo in the reform of justice. It was set up and, in progress. Facilities have been identified, namely; digitization and South-South cooperation. in support of this reform, UNDP is implementing a strategy for digitizing the justice sector as well as public administration in general. The UNDP Bangladesh office has set up a support program to finance initiatives that address e-governance, e-justice and SDGs. The Governance Pillar has prepared a concept note for submission to the UNDP Country Office Bangladesh. It is in this context that the UNDP RD-Congo recruits an online Volunteer for the translation of the said note.
Task description
you will be in charge of: Translating / trans-create from French to English the content of a text of the description of a project to support the digitalization sector of public and sectoral administrations while respecting the substance and form of the texts originals. -Translate 3 page maximum from French in English.
Requirements
Required experience
-Training Bac + 3 to 5, translation school or other language training including a course in professional translation Perfectly bilingual English / French -Minimum 1 year of translation experience. -Excellent editorial, orthographic, grammatical, typographical qualities in English and French and knowledge of vocabulary in the digital domain in both languages.
