The general objective of the Sinergia+ project is to generate management processes that strengthen CONANP and that allow it to become an institution that plans based on results, with strong finances and effective governance mechanisms and strategic alliances that contribute to increasing connectivity between representative ecosystems to safeguard their biodiversity and ecological balance.
The Sinergia+ project has four strategic results: 1) Institutional Efficiency; 2) Governance, Citizen Participation and Collaboration Networks; 3) Ecological Representativeness and Connectivity; 4) Strategic Projects
Within the framework of the Sinergia+ Project, the person to be hired will carry out the following activities in support of the Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve Protected Natural Area, belonging to the Central and Neovolcanic Axis Regional Directorate, to implement actions aimed at the supervision and analysis of works and activities carried out by residents and users, through the development of a geographic information system with socio-environmental data; as well as for the implementation of actions for the conservation of ecosystems and their biodiversity through the promotion and monitoring of sustainable management, protection and restoration actions; and actions to ensure the integrity of the conservation objects of the ANP.
This position contributes to the achievement of the goals of Result 1 “Institutional Efficiency”
Scope of work.
Support in the development, evaluation and updating of the ANP management program, as well as its Annual Operational Program (Fiscal POA and FANP POA)
Support actions and strategies for protection, management, restoration, research, and monitoring to assist in the development and implementation of conservation and protection programs in the ANP
I will support the formation of the Geographic Information System of the ANP, with the biological, social, economic and cartographic data of the protected natural area.
Assist in the operation of subsidy programs and conservation projects for the development of the Lagunas de Zempoala National Park, as well as the monitoring and operation of the Advisory Council
Institutional Agreement
The contracted person will work under the direct technical supervision of the head of the Lagunas de Zempoala NP, the Center and Neovolcanic Axis Regional Directorate, as well as the Sinergia + Project Coordinator.
