The general objective of the Synergy + project is to generate management processes that strengthen CONANP and allow it to become an institution that plans based on results, with strong finances and effective governance mechanisms and strategic alliances that contribute to increasing connectivity between representative ecosystems to safeguard their biodiversity and ecological balance.
The Synergy + project has four strategic results: 1 ) Institutional Efficiency; 2 ) Governance, Citizen Participation and Collaboration Networks; 3 ) Ecological Representativeness and Connectivity; 4 ) Strategic Projects
Within the framework of the Synergy + Project, the person to be hired will carry out the following advisory and coordination activities regarding the marine biological monitoring and surveillance program, ecosystem services, public use, participatory processes with users of the ANP, which contributes to the achievement of goals of Result 1 “Institutional Efficiency”
Scope of work
Support the planning and execution of marine monitoring activities of priority species and groups of the ANP; in the elaboration of monitoring protocols with biological, ecological and oceanographic, productive and impact indicators that are defined for the ANP. As well as follow up on the indicators already established and monitored.
Support the analysis and preparation of reports on the status of the conservation objects of the Revillagigedo National Park, to establish plans and actions that favor the effective management of the ANP; in the preparation of opinions and technical opinions for the granting, modification, extension, rescue, suspension, extinction, revocation or annulment of concessions, permits, licenses or authorizations regarding research, use and exploitation of ecosystems and their biodiversity and environmental impact, in adherence to the applicable regulations.
Support in development. Implementation and follow-up of intersectoral collaborations, monitoring actions, supervision and surveillance, marine and terrestrial, in the Revillagigedo National Park
Support the promotion of the valuation of environmental services, through dissemination for the conservation of biodiversity
Institutional Agreement
The person or person hired will work under the direct technical supervision of the owner of the Revillagigedo National Park, the Regional Directorate of the Baja California Peninsula and the North Pacific, as well as the Sinergia + Project Coordinator.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Academic Requirements
Candidates with High School Certificate / Baccalaureate.
Minimum Years of Relevant Experience
For candidates with a high school / baccalaureate certificate, 3 years of verifiable experience are required in: management and conservation of marine resources, as well as biological monitoring, environmental legislation, and for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree or internship in: biology, biology marine, ecology, No experience required.
Required skills
Preparation of quality reports
Desired Skills in addition to the competencies mentioned in the Competencies section
Knowledge / experience in: biological monitoring techniques and protocols ( management and analysis of ecological data ). Knowledge of marine monitoring techniques and protocols is considered highly advantageous.
Knowledge / experience in: ecological restoration. Knowledge of ecological restoration in marine areas is considered with great advantage.
Bachelor’s Degree or Internship in: Biology, Marine Biology, Ecology, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Certification
