(BREAKING WIDE) – St Louis Couple who defended their home with Guns will participate in GOP convention.
Mark and Patricia McCloskey, the viral gun toting couple in St. Louis who defended their home as BLM protesters marched by will appear at the Republican National Convention next week. The McCloskeys have become celebrities and heroic figures for second amendment activists.
While the protesters who marched by had broken through a gate and were trespassing while marching in a gated community, the couple was charged with felonies for unlawful use of weapons by circuit attorney Kim Gardner.
At the time of the incident, the couple said through their lawyer that they were not brandishing their guns at the peaceful protesters but at a few aggressors. They said those people were white and part of the group and had “tarnished” the peaceful protest.
Albert Watkins, the couple’s lawyer said in an interview that Mark McCloskey would “definitely be speaking” at the convention but his wife, Patricia, was not expected to speak. “She will be at her husband’s side,” he said. “She is not built for this.”

Mr. Watkins said the McCloskeys would be part of a live video presentation at the convention. “They, like many Americans, are horrified, if not mortified, at the prospect of their constitutional rights being compromised by the constitutional rights of others,” he added. “My clients will fight to their death and they have professionally done so for 30 years each.”
Missouri Governor Mike Parson have come to the defense of the couple and the President himself has tweeted support for them.
