What will a day in the life of a Service Manager involve? You’ll :

Proactively develop, manage, and implement operating plans and budgets with stakeholders
Identify and address areas needing development or improvement, escalating as necessary.
Serve as an efficient escalation point for complex and non-standard cases; managing and prioritising based on vulnerability factors.
Facilitate meaningful contributions from individuals with lived experiences to service delivery, design, and development, following organisational approaches.
Develop and implement effective local awareness and advocacy strategies aligned with operational plans and approaches.

To be a successful Service Manager, you will need:

Dedication to refugees, asylum seekers, and vulnerable migrants, with knowledge of rights, entitlements, and relevant agencies.
Familiarity with safeguarding policies for young people and vulnerable adults.
Proficiency in collating, interpreting, and reporting management information, including statistics and user feedback.
Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication.
Organisational skills for planning, managing, and monitoring workloads, including implementing operating plans.
Ability to provide caring expressive assistance to highly distressed and vulnerable individuals in crisis.
