About AHAC: Amal Healing and Advocacy Center (AHAC) is an organization led by women specialized in empowering women and raising their capabilities. It aims to create a safe society for women in which they enjoy their full rights without discrimination or violence. • Contribute to making a change in the status of women in Syrian society and support them by increasing their awareness of their rights and opportunities through advocacy campaigns, awareness-raising sessions, and meetings with decision-makers and key and influential people, whether in the refugee community or inside Syria.
• Providing psychosocial support services by providing safe spaces for women, girls and children to carry out social activities that relieve life stresses due to asylum.
• Providing specialized services in the psychological and legal field for women affected by violence in all its forms. Especially in times of wars and crises, especially survivors of detention and sexual violence, families of victims of enforced disappearance and victims of human rights violations in all its forms
• Carrying out capacity building activities and empowering women at all levels, whether in the political, legal, administrative or professional fields, to be able to truly participate in public affairs or at the family level. The aim of establishing the organization is to contribute to building a Syrian society based on justice, equality and rights for all individuals, especially women and marginalized groups, including those with disabilities and those affected by violations, and responding in particular to their needs related to psychological and social support and legal advice. The organization was established in 2014 in the Turkish city of Antakya, located near the Syrian-Turkish border, which hosts many refugees from different regions in Syria.

Job Purpose: Amal Healing and Advocacy Center (AHAC) is seeking a bilingual (Arabic and English) project coordinator to be based in Gaziantep, Türkiye who will support oversight and management of AHAC’s project in Türkiye and Syria. The project coordinator will work under the direct supervision of the AHAC executive director and will oversee and support the implementation of AHAC’s project according to the project workplan, budget, and timeline; support data collection and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) tasks for the project; draft project reports; and lead in the administrative and logistical arrangements for project activities.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Provide day-to-day project management and grant compliance of AHAC’s project.
2. Ensure implementation of project activities and deliverables according to the project proposal and timeline.
3. Oversee monthly team meetings and coordinate the work of the legal team, PSS officers, and mobile team based on monthly team workplans to ensure implementation of project activities.
4. Provide logistical and administrative support for project workshops and activities, including drafting invitation letters, collecting participant names, organizing coffee breaks, etc.
5. Prepare project workplans in accordance with the project budget, working in close coordination with the executive director and financial officer.
6. Work with the executive director and financial officer to ensure accurate forecasting and proper management of the project budget by ensuring project funds are disbursed properly, and expenditure is in accordance with the project document and project work plans, as well as finance policies and procedures.
7. Support the finance officer to ensure accounting records and supporting documents are properly kept, accurate financial reports are prepared, and that financial and procurement operations are transparent and compliant with good practice as they relate to the project activities.
8. Ensure that project work plan, budget plans and general administrative procedures are followed for timely achievement of project milestones, conducting spot checks periodically.
9. Prepare forms, collect M&E data, and complete monthly monitoring forms.
10. Draft monthly and quarterly project narrative reports.
11. Maintain project files.
12. Attend coordination meetings (hosted by the UN or other coordinating bodies).
13. Maintain coordination with project stakeholders (government and non-government officials, other NGOs, service providers, etc).
14. Support AHAC’s program development efforts including assisting in identifying funding opportunities, selecting and developing strategic partnerships, and drafting proposals.
15. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: ● Bachelor’s degree in international relations, human rights, or relevant social science degree.
● At least 3 years’ experience working with national or international NGOs in the Syrian context.
● Experience working in gender, protection, or justice programming preferred.
● Experience with major donors (EU, US, UN and non-governmental) strongly preferred.
● Fluency in the English Language (4 skills: Listening – Speaking – Reading – Writing).
● Fluency in the Arabic Language (4 skills: Listening – Speaking – Reading – Writing).
● Turkish National.
Desirable: ● Working knowledge of Turkish language is preferred for meetings with Turkish stakeholders
