(BREAKING WIDE) – Police Officer who used Pseudonym to Write “Kill Them All” during Livestream Protest Suspended.

Keith Wrede, a Colorado Springs police officer has been handed immediate suspension without pay after using a fictional name(Eric Steven) to write “Kill Them All” in the comment section during a livestream protest.

According to Chief Vince Niski, Wrede has also been ousted from specialized unit, his suspension will cost him around $2,000 in wages. Last month, protesters had blocked traffic on Interstate 25 while holding signs in support of BLM before dispersing when police arrived.

“The incident was being covered by multiple local news crews, one of which was live-streaming the demonstration,” Niski said in a statement. ‘Steven Eric’ made “Kill Then All” and “Kill em all” comments “during the live-stream on KRDO’s Facebook.

Niski said the department learned about the comments after being contacted days later by someone from KDRO, who told them they had received a tip claiming “Steven Eric” was a pseudonym being used by Wrede. Investigators then “were able to quickly determine Sergeant Wrede’s involvement.”

“It was determined that the comments were made off-duty out of frustration and there was no indication of any physical action or intent to cause harm,” he said. “I am in no way minimizing Sergeant Wrede’s words. His comments were unacceptable, have damaged our relationship with members of our community, and fell short of our standards.”
