Job Title: Nursing Team Supervisor OUTREACH – Zamfara Project

Location: Zamfara
Contract Period: Six Months

Main Purpose

  • Plan, organize, and evaluate all activities concerning nursing and the associated teams according to MSF values, policies, protocols and universal health standards in order to improve quality and continuity of health care in the mission.

Job Description

  • Perform as a nurse or anaesthetist, whenever required or needed
  • Implement and supervise all the protocols and hygiene procedures to ensure optimum quality of care and service in his/her domain of intervention.
  • Plan and supervise outreach medical activities according to MSF protocols
  • Strengthen collaboration with the NAM/PMR to provide quality care in the PHCCs and DMC sites
  • Ensure that the outreach strategy is applied properly in the project.
  • Build capacity of the Outreach team, DMC workers, PHCCs nurses and provide support for on-the-Job training.
  • When necessary, work as a Nurse in addition to performing supervisory duties and responsibilities for outreach activities.
  • Ensure medical data collection and their analysis in order to guarantee adequate monitoring of outreach activities
  • Follow up on referral circuit (SOP) for pediatric and psychiatric cases, as well as victims of sexual violence
  • Ensure drugs RUTF and other necessary means are supplied on time to the OPD and DMC sites
  • Act as an intermediary between the outreach teams and the NAM/PMR by transmitting information bilaterally.
  • Ensure compliance with the national protocol, standards and principles decreed by MSF

Requirements
Education (Essential):

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Nursing.
  • Training in public health will be an asset

Experience (Essential):

  • Two (2) years working experience with MSF or other NGOs/ Well established medical facility

Language:

  • English and Hausa are essential

Knowledge (Essential):

  • Computer literacy (word, excel and internet);
  • Knowledge on medical statistics data bases will be an asset.

Gross Monthly Salary
According to MSF National Salary Scale.
