“My opinion, life is at stake as we know it. This is all about. It’s on America. We are asking God to bless America,” Pelosi said on Monday, first mentioned by Fox News reporter Rob DiRienzo. “I’m asking my Republican friends to take back the party and I have them.”

In December, speaking at a CNN town hall, Pelosi made similar comments, telling the audience Trump “devalues” America’s positions as being a beacon of hope for struggling parts of the world.

She spoke to the attendees about the significance of voting Trump out of power in the upcoming election, “We’re not agonizing yet again, we’re organizing. And we do so in a way that makes our nation united. It’s absolutely imperative, life is at risk in the next election as we know it today and definitely our world.’

Pelosi addressed the Trump administration’s response to the spread of coronavirus on Monday, saying his budget and employee cuts to U.S. health agencies were detrimental to the initial attempts by the government to contain the spread of the COVID-19 disease.

“In his budget, even after he learned about the coronavirus,[ Trump] cut $700 million out of the CDC budget, $700 million,” Pelosi said, adding she was asking Trump how he could let go of so many people whose job is to help contain coronavirus spread. “‘I don’t like having a lot of employees around, if we need them we can hire them back,’” she said the president replied.
