SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian aid organization that, for over 40 years, has been providing
relief to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters by meeting their basic needs, such as food, water, and shelter.
Particularly committed to combating diseases linked to unsafe water, the world’s leading cause of death, SI’s interventions leverage expertise in the areas of access to drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene promotion, as well as in the essential area of food security and livelihoods.
Present in around twenty countries, SI’s teams—a total of 2,000 people, including expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at headquarters, and a few volunteers—operate with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultures.
Content
Within the Development and Communications department, made up of 22 people, and reporting directly to the Editorial Coordinator, and in collaboration with the Press Relations Officer, you will provide support to the communications department for editorial production and press relations.
Assistance with the production of editorial content and the development of publications
– Support for the management of editorial projects or publications: data collection, conducting interviews, information research
– Writing: articles, publications, web content, press releases, press kits, press reviews, etc.
– Editorial secretarial work: proofreading, revision, correction of editorial content
– Support for updating web content in conjunction with other departments
– Video transcription
– Search for iconographic material
– Management of translation needs for web articles
– Monitoring of new trends and editorial proposals
– Participation in discussions and service meetings
Support for the Press Relations Officer
– Support for managing press relations as needed: organizing interview requests, gathering information, monitoring interviews
– Press coverage: collection of press coverage, monitoring and updating of the document centralizing press coverage
– Identification (mapping) of journalists and media. Creation of lists on the press relations management tool (Luqi)
– Support for press relations on social networks: identification of
journalists/accounts, monitoring of mentions, monitoring
Occasional tasks
– Support during the organization of internal or external events by the department
– Development and Communication: debates, press conferences, screenings, etc.
– Analysis of press coverage and creation of ad hoc press reviews
– Participation in crisis communication, particularly during humanitarian emergencies
IF YOU WILL OFFER THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS
- Internship based at the headquarters of SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL in Clichy (92), Mairie de Clichy metro station
- Intern with mandatory internship agreement.
- Compensation: 4.70 euros/hour
- The gratuity is calculated in proportion to the actual hours of presence over the month. (On average 1 month = 154 hours, or 22 days of 7 hours/day)
- Public transport covered 50% by SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL
- Meal vouchers at €8.90/day of actual training, with 60% participation from SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL
- Higher education (minimum bac +3 level) in journalism, communications, international law or humanitarian project management
- Very good writing skills
- Fluent French and English (written and spoken)
- Ability to analyze and synthesize
- Autonomy, rigor, organization, efficiency
- Team spirit
- Real interest and motivation for community and humanitarian work
- Computers: Windows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet and social networks,
email (Outlook)

- Discover the different professions of SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL in the field and at headquarters
- Understanding the humanitarian issues of the NGO and its partners
- Participate in the implementation of the Communication strategy of a humanitarian NGO
- Learn about the procedures in place within the NGO
- Practice and perfect your editorial skills
- Understanding how relationships between journalists and NGOs work
- Evolve in a multicultural environment
- Position based at the headquarters of Solidarités International, in Clichy la Garenne (Metro Mairie de Clichy)
- 2.5 month fixed-term contract
- Gross monthly salary of: €2,865 or €2,985 depending on the scale in force at headquarters
- Teleworking is available: 4 or 12 days of teleworking per month. In accordance with the current Teleworking Charter and the manager.
- Leave: 2.0833 CP / month and 1 day of RTT / full month of work
