Ex-Obama Security Watchdog Busted For Theft And Fraud.
The former acting inspector general for the U.S. Department, Charles K. Edwards of Homeland Security who served as from 2011 through 2013 under the Obama administration have been indicted in a scheme to steal government software and databases so they could sell an enhanced version to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Several top Obama-era were indicted on 16 Counts of theft and fraud just when they thought they would walk away with their numerous crimes without the notice of anyone.
Some of the charges include conspiracy to commit theft of government property and to defraud the United States, theft of government property, wire fraud, aggravated identity theft and indictment and destruction of records.
“Edwards who worked under the President Barack Obama administration left DHS in December 2013, still maintained his relationship with the other employees to steal sensitive government databases and software,” the Justice department said.
Prosecutors further allege that the top officials helped Edwards to reconfigure his laptop so he could upload the stolen software and databases and build a testing server at his home.
