Bill Gates, Other High Profile Twitter Accounts Hacked In ‘Send $1000 To Get Back $2000 Crypto Scam In 30 Minutes‘.
Crypto scammers have hacked the accounts of several high profile individuals including Joe Biden, Obama, Kanye West, Jeff Bezos, and Bill Gates.
Twitter support is apparently aware of the issue and tweeted “We are aware of a security incident impacting accounts on Twitter. We are investigating and taking steps to fix it. We will update everyone shortly.”

The hack is a significant breach of a major tech company’s privacy systems, and expanded beyond its initial wave of billionaires, cryptocurrency figures, and politicians to include influencers (MrBeast), major companies (Apple, Cash App, Wendy’s), athletes (Floyd Mayweather), and joke accounts (God). According to several tech reporters following the breach, the plan appears to be working:
Jeff Bezos' account. Kanye West's. More than $100K stolen so far. This is the most serious attack on Twitter's security systems in the history of the company and it is still fully underway.

The source of the attack wasn’t immediately clear, but the hackers targeted a wide range of influential accounts with the scam, which aimed to trick users into sending Bitcoin to the hackers.

The attacks appeared to be coordinated, with similar messages shared on multiple accounts. Musk’s account later referenced tweets from Gates. “Me and my brother Bill Gates are returning the favor today! Stay safe out there!”
Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos also got hacked with same similar messages.
This Twitter hack is totally unprecedented. Major accounts of companies & ppl affected. More than $90K already sent to the BTC address. It’s looking more and more likely that someone, or a group, got access to admin rights for the whole platform somehow.
It's an actual wallet address and there are transactions happening. It's unclear if these transactions are legit. Scammers often seed their own scams to give them the appearance of authenticity. https://t.co/GUHEDaKNxu pic.twitter.com/xfhl3817xr
