WHAT WE DO
SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an association of’ international humanitarian aid which, for more than 40 years, has been providing relief to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters by responding to the vital needs of, drinking, eating, s’abriter. Particularly engaged in the fight against diseases related to unhealthy’, the leading cause of death in the world, SI implements through its interventions an expertise in the field of’access to drinking’water,’sanitation and the promotion of hygiene but also in that, essential, of, food security and means of’. Present in more than twenty countries approximately, the teams of SI – 2000 people in total composed of’expatriates, national staffs, permanent at headquarters, etc,some volunteers..- intervene with professionalism and commitment in respect of cultures.
DESCRIPTION OF THE MISSION
As part of the strengthening of its existing missions, SI has set up a flying support team (OSS Operation Support Staff).
This team is made up of :
d’un.e Director.trice Country (H/F),
d’un.e Director-trice Assistant country for programmes (H/F),
of Coordinators Terrain (H/F),
d’un.e Coordinator Finance/RH (H/F), France,
d’un.e HR Coordinator (H/F),
d’un.e Coordinator of Finance (H/F),
d’un.e Coordinator.trice EHA (H/F),
d’un.e Coordinator of FSL (H/F),
d’un.e Logistics Coordinator (M/F).
The members of’OSS are called to be mobilized 80% of their time on missions from 3 weeks to 3 months, according to the following priorities :
Coverage of strategic gaps and technical support for the development of existing missions (1 to 3 months)
Support for diagnostics and’opening of bases and programs in existing missions (2 weeks to 1.5 months)
Diagnosis and opening of new missions (2 weeks to 1.5 months)
Support headquarters in desks and technical department.
As headquarters delegates, they represent headquarters during their deployments, and are key actors in carrying the mandate and IS procedures in their’ assignment missions.
Operation and flowchart
The members of’OSS meet the needs of support missions via the SI Geographical Desks. Their deployment is under the functional supervision of the Director of Operations. When deployed, they work under the responsibility of the Country Director or Desk concerned.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The/the Finance Coordinator (FinCoo) will direct and coordinate the administrative, accounting and financial services of the mission.
As coordinator, he/she will be the guarantor of the’ financial balance of the mission and the respect by all of the procedures International Solidarity, donor procedures and laws of the country in which Solidarity International operates.
He/she is the/referrer on the mission and the link between headquarters and the mission for all matters related to management, accounting and budget monitoring.
Main responsibilities, issues and activities of the position :
Under the supervision of the country director and in functional connection with the/controller/management unit desk at headquarters, the/coordinator/finance officer shall carry out the following tasks :
Analysis of the socio-economic context
’team management
Financial, accounting and budgetary management
Administrative management of the mission
Cash management
Reporting / Communication
The/the Coordinator/trice Finance OSS supervises the’ financial team in coordination and the managers in charge of the’administration and finance bases in the country.
YOUR PROFILE
Training / Experience :
Diploma in financial management, Higher School of Commerce, accounting
Professional experience at the position of Significant Administrative and Financial Coordinator ( + 1 year old ) with International Solidarity or another NGO
Technical skills and knowledge :
SAGA software
Team management capacity
Multicultural team training capacity
Excellent mastery of Excel
Languages :
French and English required
Spanish would be a plus
IF YOU WILL OFFER THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS
Expatriate CDI, framework status
Salary calculated on the basis of the expatriate salary scale ( gross salary at the coordo level from 2600 euros / month, excluding the promotion of experience in NGO )
Recovery of one day per weekend spent in the field. Paid leave of 5 weeks. No RTT.
Health insurance/care provision and repatriation (100% covered)
Considerations of relocation of working time outside deployment outside the SI (home) headquarters are negotiable
