The Libyan “All” platform on the Internet is searching for producers of digital visual content from the regions of Kufra, Merzak and Qataris in Libya to support their digital production on social networks.
Contracting and employment is carried out by BBC Media Action, the BBC’s International Charitable Development Arm.

Scope and arrangements
The incumbent is expected to be responsible for taking high-quality photos and videos for use in producing digital visual content for posting on the “All” platform and associated promotional materials. This role requires a deep understanding of the “all” platform and requires the ability to creatively express key development issues in a visual way.
The freelance employee will be assigned a weekly set of photos / videos. Work arrangements and wages will also be negotiated during the selection and contracting process.
Basic tasks:
- Taking high-quality photographs and video footage in line with the professional and editorial requirements of the “All” platform and with aesthetic standards.
- Ensure that the photos and videos provided are well organized, attractive and commensurate with the editorial standards and pre-assignment from the Editorial Department.
- Close cooperation with the editorial team and participation in planning sessions to understand the various requirements of professional work.
- Cover all aspects of video and image production, including mobile preparation and photography.
- Mobility inside Libya according to the needs of the subject assigned to it.
Basic outputs
- Provide high-quality images and videos ready for use according to a predetermined plan and schedule.
- Visual content consistent with the editorial values of the BBC and the technical standards for the “All” platform”.
Skills, knowledge and experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in journalism, photography, communication, or any related major.
- At least three years experience as a videographer / photographer, it is desirable in an informational, non-profit, or development context.
- Experience in meeting the needs of the Libyan digital audience and / or familiarity with the Libyan context.
- Master mobile photography and the use of professional imaging equipment compatible with mobile.
- Knowledge of various digital platforms, including social media and websites, and an understanding of how content is consumed on these platforms.
- Provide proof of previous work including a collection of photos and videos
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to travel within Libya on a frequent basis.
Preferences: Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Master’s degree in journalism, photography, communications or any related field
- An understanding of the BBC’s editorial values or the ability to learn and apply them.
- Knowing and understanding the editorial identity of the “All” platform
- At least three years of experience in the field of journalism in Libya.
- mastering English language.
- Proficiency in using image editing software such as Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Premiere Pro
