Here’s where you come in:
As Food and Cash Assistance Program Manager, you will provide strategic leadership, technical management and coordination of World Vision Afghanistan’s food assistance and cash program stakeholders to ensure quality programming and efficiency while ensuring that donor and World Vision food program standards are met You will provide technical support to field teams, promote team spirit, a culture of information sharing and excellent internal/external coordination. You will contribute to the growth of the sector by actively engaging with donors and support offices and promoting a culture of information sharing and collaboration with cluster mechanisms and strategic partners. You will ensure that the design, implementation and monitoring is done through integration with other sectors such as health, nutrition and child protection. You will be the focal point for internal and external engagements related to food and cash programming including GIK on behalf of WV Afghanistan.
Requirements include:
- Master’s degree in any of the fields International Affairs, Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness Management, Food Security, or a related field in livelihood and resilience and social science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience designing, planning, implementing, supervising, and reporting on Food and Cash Assistance Programming
- 3-5 years management experience in the food logistics (warehousing, transportation, distributions) and e-vouchers.
- Minimum of two years of food assistance program planning experience at the supervisory level
- Field-based NGO work experience in Food and Cash Assistance program leadership, with a minimum of 3 to 5 years total development and emergency experience.
- Good pro Experience and familiarity with WFP and BHA (USAID) regulations and reporting requirements.
- Fluency in English.
- Ability to travel to and within Afghanistan is required. Be prepared to travel to implementation sites and regional, global meetings as needed.
